Leonsorb Premium
Disposable absorber with high CO₂ absorption.
In low-flow and minimal-flow anesthesia, Leonsorb Premium, the soda lime from Löwenstein Medical, has a highly efficient absorption capacity. Test results have confirmed that with a volume of 1.15 kg, the product absorbs over 150 liters of CO2 before a 0.5% CO2 breakthrough occurs. This property ultimately results in beneficial cost savings associated with higher absorption.
Chemical composition and moisture content of the soda lime:
The chemical composition of Leonsorb premium does not generate Compound A. The moisture produced at the reaction with CO2 prevents the soda lime from drying out during operation and supports the air conditioning of the patient gas.

The unique geometry of Leonsorb Premium ensures a high level of CO2 absorption. The absorber also impresses with its optimum utilization of soda lime, minimal dust formation, high absorption capacity and high absorber volume. The formation of Compound A is prevented at the absorption stage. Compared to conventional soda lime, a color change lasts longer at Leonsorb Premium.
